THE DOT WANTS TO REMOVE ALL
THE TREES ON LAKE DRIVE.

The Department of Transportation has recently announced plans for major changes to Lake Drive from Kensington to Edgewood. Some of these plans include tearing down all the trees on both sides of the street to make way for bike lanes, more road lanes, and parking.

PLAN

WHAT IS THE PLAN?

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is looking to relieve some perceived issues with North Lake Drive. Most of their proposed solutions involve the widening of the road, and removal of all the trees between the side walk and the street. For the moment the plans only include modifications to the areas between Kensington and Edgewood, but some are concerned that they won't stop there.

You can check out a quick overview of the plans in the slider, or you can see them in more detail on the DOT Project page.
